On the 26th of June, I attended a trial at Mrs C's studio, for the RAD Intermediate Vocational Syllabus. The studio had a very sweet and bubbly group of teenage girls, except for my friend and I. I was a little apprehensive - naturally with my poor memory of dance steps and vocabulary. Nonetheless, despite a struggle with centrework, I found that inner peace that comes in an intimate ballet class again.
Over the course of the past 4 lessons, Mrs C has been such a darling. She is so gentle and encouraging, while keeping a watchful eye over our technique and form. (Could a student ask for more??).
From my interpretation of the video, this involves, after classical pose, a demi-plie, jump with both knees straight, land with back leg first and bent, front leg lands and chasse, with weight transferred to the front foot, followed by a jump to 1st arabesque, with right hand in front and left leg at the back.
Temps levé in 1st arabesque facing 6:
jJump to 1st arabesque, with right hand in front and left leg at the back.
Chassé passé en avant:
After Arabasque, land and bring back (left foot) to the front with a chasse. Jump with both knees straight with a turn in direction to the other side of the room. Temps Leve in 1st arabasque.

Each class is for a duration of 2 hours. I enjoy all the barre techniques, dread centrework, and pointe has absolutely been the pain and highlight of each lesson! We do some strengthening at the barre, and we have been allowed to do bourrees at the centre. This week, we also did bourrees to the side.
These are exercises that I really struggle with.
1. Sissones
2. Allegro
3, Pirouettes
Allegro 2
